Sakamoto Days began as a manga by Yuto Suzuki and has been running in Weekly Shonen Jump since 2020. The story follows a former hitman who leaves his dangerous life behind to focus on his family and run a small store. VIZ Media describes the setup by saying, “Time has passed peacefully for Sakamoto since he left the underworld… return to the assassin world or die!” The series has been released in many volumes, both in Japan and in English. The anime adaptation arrived in early 2025 and is available on Netflix.
The new teaser has sparked excitement as fans wait to see how the manga’s mix of action and comedy will play out in live action.
