Kelly Osbourne Claps Back at Social Media Trolls, Says Most Critics Are Women
Kelly Osbourne has fired back at social media critics who have commented on her appearance following the death of her father, Ozzy Osbourne. The 41-year-old star addressed the trolls in a video, reminding viewers that she is grieving and doing her best to cope.
In the clip, which was discussed during Sharon Osbourne’s recent interview on Piers Morgan Uncensored, Kelly said, “I don’t even know how to say this, so I’m just gonna say it. To the people who keep thinking that they’re being funny and mean by writing comments like, ‘Are you ill?’ or ‘Get off Ozempic’ or ‘You don’t look right,’ my dad just died.”
She added, “And I’m doing the best that I can and the only thing I have to live for right now is my family and I choose to share my content with you and share the happy side of my life, not the miserable side of my life. To all those people, f*** off.”
Kelly has faced criticism on Instagram after sharing posts where fans commented on her appearance, particularly in a video showing her reading a book. She later addressed these comments in her Instagram Story, thanking those who offered support and condemning the harsh messages she received.
“What do you expect from me? What do you expect me to look like right now?” she said. “The fact that I’m getting out of bed and facing my life and trying, should be more than enough and I should be commended by that.”
The star called out the trolls for their lack of empathy, noting that “more of the things you’re saying about me, is how you feel about yourself.” She emphasized that life has been challenging, saying, “Well, I am ill right now. My life is completely flipped upside down. I don’t understand why people expect me to bounce back and look like everything is just fine in my life, when it’s not … These mean comments are helping nobody.”

Kelly also addressed those who compared her current appearance at 41 to her teenage years, stating, “People’s faces change when you grow older.” She expressed particular disappointment that “most of the comments are coming from grown a** women … It’s absolutely devastating that women can’t support other women. They’d rather tear them down when their dad just died. It’s disgusting and I’ve had enough of it. So, go f*** yourself.”
Sharon Osbourne also weighed in during her interview, saying of social media negativity, “All the time. It’s a shield for people that are unhappy, it’s a shield … How many times have we been wrong about somebody because of our perception? We do it, but you and I don’t take the point where we spend a second, waste a second of our lives, writing something about them.” She added, “I just feel sorry for people, there’s something wrong with their lives, they’re not happy.”
Kelly’s response highlights the emotional toll of grief and the harsh realities of social media criticism, while also calling for more compassion and understanding from the public.
