Amanda Seyfried Gets Candid About Botox and Her Favorite Spot
Amanda Seyfried has opened up candidly about her approach to skincare and cosmetic treatments, revealing how she stays on top of her beauty routine without going under the knife.
In a recent cover story for Who What Wore published on December 10, the 40-year-old actress shared details about her trusted dermatologist and her favorite treatments.
“I have a really good dermatologist who tells me that she’s never gonna do anything but put Botox in the same place for the rest of my life,” Seyfried said, pointing to a spot on her forehead.
She also discussed using CBD oil to calm redness, hydrate her skin, and strengthen the skin barrier. In addition, she incorporates ILP laser treatments to address fine lines and sun damage. Seyfried made it clear that she isn’t considering any surgical procedures at the moment.
Reflecting on aging and self-care, she explained, “I know life is harder the older you get, but I also know that I’m pretty prepped because I’ve done a lot of work in the decade of my 30s. I’ve done a lot of couples therapy. I’ve done a lot of therapy alone. I’ve had insane amounts of conversations with psychologists and friends who are psychologists, that I feel like I have a lot of self-knowledge. It’s not everything, but it certainly goes a long way.”
Seyfried had previously talked about cosmetic work during a “Truth Serum” segment for Allure’s YouTube channel with her co-star Sydney Sweeney. Sweeney, 28, revealed she has never had work done and is scared of needles.
Seyfried encouraged her, saying, “But it’s really effective once you get older. I’m telling you right now.” She also offered Sweeney advice for the future: “When you do, you gotta call me and I’ll give you a little bit of Ativan and you’ll be so excited. But you don’t need it yet.”
The actress emphasized that there’s a skill to getting injectables right. “You can’t just get it everywhere like a lot of people do,” she explained. She also mentioned that Sweeney’s face could benefit from subtle treatments because of a past wakeboarding accident that left her eyes slightly uneven.
Seyfried’s openness highlights a balanced approach to beauty, combining professional treatments with self-awareness and mental health care.
