Lindsay Lohan Voices Legendary Character on ‘The Simpsons’: ‘A Dream Come True’
Lindsay Lohan is joining the cast of The Simpsons to voice Maggie Simpson in an upcoming episode.
The episode, titled “Parahormonal Activity,” will air this Sunday on Fox. Lohan, 39, shared her excitement on Instagram, saying, “What a dream come true to be part of this iconic family.”
In a sneak peek posted online, Maggie is seen trying to warn Marge about Bart driving. Despite Marge telling her to rest her voice, Maggie shouts, “Please don’t let Bart drive! It’s too scary! He drives so wiggly, and everybody honks at us and yells bad words and shows us fingers!”
Maggie usually doesn’t speak, communicating mostly through her pacifier or occasional grunts. When she does talk, Nancy Cartwright, who also voices Bart Simpson, typically provides her voice. Over the years, the show has allowed Maggie to speak in special episodes, dream sequences, or flash-forward scenes.
Many other stars have voiced Maggie in the past, including Elizabeth Taylor, Viola Davis, Jodie Foster, James Earl Jones, and Kevin Michael Richardson. Cartwright, 68, has been a core voice of the show since it began in 1989 and continues to voice Bart to this day.
In 2024, Cartwright shared her hopes that The Simpsons could continue for many more seasons, saying, “I think I would just like to actually make that target that we’ve done 40. That would be incredible. And that we’re all still alive. Wouldn’t that be amazing?” She also praised the new generation of viewers, noting that kids are discovering and binge-watching the series, bringing fresh energy to the show.
“I’m constantly amazed. We’ve got this new energy that’s behind ‘The Simpsons’ right now,” Cartwright said. She added that being a fan of the show while working on it remains “a thrill.”
