Yoona Dazzles Fans in Teaser Images Ahead of New Single ‘Wish to Wish’ Release
Girls’ Generation star YoonA is returning to music with a new winter single, “Wish to Wish,” set to release on December 19 at 6 p.m. KST, according to SM Entertainment. The song marks her first solo release since her 2019 special album, “A Walk to Remember.”
YoonA has had a remarkable year in 2025, gaining praise for her acting work. Her film “Pretty Crazy,” where she played both a bakery owner and a devil, received strong reviews. She also starred in tvN’s rom-com “Bon Appétit, Your Majesty” alongside Lee Chae Min, which became one of the highest-rated tvN dramas of the year and topped Netflix charts.
The single is meant as a gift for her fans, showing appreciation for their support throughout her busy year. SM Entertainment said the song was prepared “as a gesture of gratitude for the love she has received from fans throughout the year.” YoonA herself explained that the track is for “the viewers, movie-goers, and fans who stayed by her side.”

YoonA also participated in writing the lyrics, making the song even more personal. She described it as a winter track with a warm feeling, completing a seasonal series following her previous solo songs that celebrated spring, summer, and autumn.
“I prepared the new song so that everyone can wrap up the year while listening to it,” she said. Fans will get the first live performance of “Wish to Wish” at her fan meeting, “Bon Appétit, Your Majesty,” in Seoul on December 20.
This year, YoonA earned multiple accolades for her acting. She won Actor of the Year (Film) at the 30th Consumer’s Day KCA Culture and Entertainment Awards. More recently, she received the AAA Grand Prize Actress of the Year in the TV category and the Popular Star Award at the Blue Dragon Film Awards.
With “Wish to Wish,” YoonA is returning to her roots as a singer, offering fans a heartfelt winter track to close out 2025. SM Entertainment and YoonA are giving fans a chance to enjoy the new song before the year ends, continuing her streak of success in both music and acting.
