According to TMZ, the argument came just before the tragic discovery of Rob and Michele’s deaths. The couple was found at their Los Angeles-area home on Sunday with their throats slit. Nick was arrested the following morning.

Family sources told TMZ that Michele had been confiding in friends for months about the struggles she and Rob faced with Nick, citing his mental health and alleged substance abuse issues. “We’ve tried everything,” Michele reportedly said to friends.
