The My Hero Academia anime is about to celebrate its 10th anniversary in a big way. At Jump Festa 2026, organizers revealed that a special extra episode will be released on May 2, 2026.

The episode, called “More,” will adapt Chapter 431 of Kohei Horikoshi’s manga. It acts as an epilogue to the series, taking place eight years after the main story and showing where Deku and his friends are in their adult hero lives. The episode will also be available to stream on Crunchyroll.

Alongside the extra episode, fans were treated to an anniversary visual by character designer Yoshihiko Umakoshi and the announcement of a worldwide concert tour. The My Hero Academia in Concert tour will combine anime visuals with live performances of Yuki Hayashi’s music.

It begins at Pacifico Yokohama in Japan on May 30 and will later travel to international locations, though specific dates and venues have not yet been announced.

The anime’s final season was directed by Naomi Nakayama under chief director Kenji Nagasaki at Studio Bones. Series composition was handled by Yosuke Kuroda, with character designs by Yoshihiko Umakoshi and music by Yuki Hayashi. Kohei Horikoshi is the creator of the original manga. Crunchyroll continues to stream the anime, including episodes, specials, and movies from the franchise.

For those new to the series, My Hero Academia follows Izuku Midoriya, a boy born without superpowers in a world where most people have “quirks,” or special abilities. Despite this, Izuku dreams of becoming a hero and earns a place at one of the world’s top hero academies.

The 10th anniversary is expected to include more events in Japan and around the world, making it a special celebration for fans of the franchise.

This extra episode and concert tour are a great way to honor a decade of My Hero Academia. It gives longtime fans a chance to see their favorite characters grow and enjoy new experiences. What do you think about the 10th anniversary plans? Share your thoughts in the comments.
