The popular anime Black Clover is set to return in 2026, with new details revealed at the Jump Festa 2026 stage event.

Fans got their first look at the upcoming series through a teaser trailer and a fresh visual. Crunchyroll will stream the anime when it premieres, making it widely available to viewers around the world.

Studio Pierrot, which produced the first series, will once again handle the animation. The original voice cast is returning, including Gakuto Kajiwara as Asta, Nobunaga Shimazaki as Yuno, Junichi Suwabe as Yami Sukehiro, Kana Yuki as Noelle Silva, and Hiro Shimono as Nacht Faust.

The Black Clover manga, created by Yuki Tabata, began in Weekly Shonen Jump in February 2015 and moved to Jump Giga in December 2023. So far, 37 volumes have been released in Japan. The original anime, directed by Tatsuya Yoshihara, ran from October 2017 to March 2021 and totaled 170 episodes. Fans also got to see the story continue with the movie Black Clover: Sword of the Wizard King, released in Japan in March 2023.

The story follows Asta and Yuno, two orphans found on the same day in a world where magic shapes everything. Yuno is naturally gifted, while Asta has no magic at all. At fifteen, both receive grimoires, magical books that amplify their abilities.

Asta’s grimoire is unique, giving him anti-magic powers that cancel the spells of others. Despite their differences, the two friends and rivals share the same dream: to become the Wizard King.

This announcement is exciting news for longtime fans and newcomers alike. With Studio Pierrot back at the helm and the original cast returning, the new series promises to continue the adventures of Asta and Yuno. This revival will bring renewed excitement to the Black Clover fandom and introduce the story to a whole new audience. What do you think about the upcoming series?
