Emerald Fennell’s ‘Wuthering Heights’ Drops New Trailer
Emerald Fennell’s new adaptation of Wuthering Heights has released a new trailer, giving audiences a first look at the Gothic erotic psychological drama set to hit theaters in early 2026. The film, produced, written, and directed by Fennell, is loosely inspired by Emily Brontë’s classic 1847 novel.
Margot Robbie and Jacob Elordi lead the cast as Catherine Earnshaw and Heathcliff, with supporting performances from Hong Chau, Shazad Latif, Alison Oliver, Martin Clunes, and Ewan Mitchell. Charlotte Mellington, Owen Cooper, and Vy Nguyen appear as the younger versions of Catherine, Heathcliff, and Nelly, respectively.
Robbie not only stars but also produces through her LuckyChap Entertainment label, marking another collaboration with Fennell after Promising Young Woman (2020) and Saltburn (2023).

Filming took place in the United Kingdom from late January to early April. The team shot in scenic locations across the Yorkshire Dales, including Arkengarthdale, Swaledale, and Low Row, alongside studio work at Sky Studios Elstree. Linus Sandgren handled cinematography using 35mm VistaVision cameras.
The casting of Jacob Elordi as Heathcliff has stirred discussion due to the character’s traditionally described racial ambiguity. In response, Fennell defended the choice, saying Elordi “looked exactly like the illustration of Heathcliff on the first book that I read.”
The film’s story follows the intense and turbulent relationship between Catherine and Heathcliff, exploring themes of desire, obsession, and revenge. Warner Bros. Pictures will release the film on February 13, 2026, just before Valentine’s Day.
The newly released trailer gives fans a glimpse of the film’s moody atmosphere, elaborate costumes, and dramatic performances, building anticipation for the upcoming release.
