Celine Dion got into the holiday spirit with a playful twist this week. The legendary singer shared a video on Instagram showing herself by a fireplace dressed as the Grinch, complete with bright green makeup.

In the clip, Dion starts by talk-singing the chorus of her hit “All by Myself” before delivering a funny parody of the Grinch’s schedule from the 2000 movie How the Grinch Stole Christmas, starring Jim Carrey.

She holds a small dog wearing antlers, mimicking the Grinch’s dog Max, and jokes about her busy day: “4:00 — exercise my voice. 4:30 — wake my children up. 5:00 — solve world hunger. Tell no one. 5:30 — jazzercize. 6:30 — dinner with me. I can’t cancel that again! 7:00 — wrestle with my creative ideas.”

She continues, “I’m booked! Of course, if I bumped my creative ideas to 9:00, I’ll still have time to lay in bed and scroll TikTok videos endlessly. Or I can just simply wish everyone a merry Christmas and a happy new year… boring!” The video ends with Dion returning to “All by Myself,” singing “When I was young, I never needed anyone.”

“All by Myself” was first released by Eric Carmen in 1975 and reached No. 2 on the Billboard Hot 100. Dion’s 1996 cover, included on her album Falling into You, remains one of her most well-known hits in the United States.
