First Trailer For ‘Apex’ Released: Charlize Theron and Taron Egerton Face Deadly Hunt
Netflix has released the first trailer for its upcoming survival action thriller, Apex, giving fans an early look at what promises to be a tense and thrilling ride. Directed by Baltasar Kormákur and written by Jeremy Robbins, the film stars Charlize Theron, Taron Egerton, and Eric Bana.
The story follows a rock climber who finds herself being hunted in the wild, facing deadly challenges in an unforgiving landscape. The first trailer shows glimpses of the intense action and suspense as the main characters try to survive against a relentless predator.
In a deadly game of cat and mouse, only one survives.

Netflix acquired the rights to Apex in February 2024, with Ian Bryce and Chernin Entertainment producing the film. Charlize Theron not only stars in the movie but also serves as a producer alongside Dawn Olmstead, AJ Dix, and Beth Kono. Baltasar Kormákur is also producing through RVK Productions, with additional support from Peter Chernin, Jenno Topping, David Ready, and Ian Bryce.
Taron Egerton joined the cast in November 2024, followed by Eric Bana in January. Filming began in February in Sydney and across New South Wales, Australia, capturing the film’s rugged wilderness setting.
Apex is set to hit Netflix on April 24, 2026. The trailer hints at high-stakes action and suspense, giving viewers a taste of the thrilling survival story to come.
