Beau DeMayo, former showrunner of X-Men ’97, has once again criticized Marvel Studios, this time targeting the trailers for the upcoming Avengers: Doomsday with an appropriate racist rant.

The three trailers released so far each highlight a main character(s). The first focuses on Steve Rogers as Captain America, the second on Thor, and the third on Magneto and Professor X. Details about the fourth trailer are limited, but according to DeMayo, it also leans heavily on white male characters.

Taking to Twitter, DeMayo expressed his frustration, writing: “Also let’s just be real about #AvengersDoomsday. Trailer #1 — white male. Trailer #2 — white male. Trailer #3 — white male. Trailer #4 — a little sprinkle of black but also white male. The fact folks think this isn’t by design is the epitome of looking the other way. Folks who look like me and those who don’t have p**** are not being invited to this movie.”

DeMayo has a long history of publicly criticizing Marvel. He was fired from X-Men ’97 in March 2024, with the studio citing “egregious misconduct” following an internal investigation.

At the time, DeMayo claimed his dismissal was linked to being gay and Black. The studio stated: “Mr. DeMayo was terminated in March 2024 following an internal investigation. Given the egregious nature of the findings, we severed ties with him immediately and he has no further affiliation with Marvel.”

Sources familiar with the investigation say that evidence of s***** misconduct and repeated violations of his termination agreement led to the removal of his writing credits for the show’s second season.

DeMayo has continued to voice his frustrations publicly, including on an OnlyFans account where he comments on his firing.

He also criticized Marvel’s storytelling in the Avengers: Doomsday trailers, especially the focus on characters worrying about children.

He wrote: “And let’s not forget that after a string of flops they all featured their heroes fretting about ‘having kids,’ here we are again with all our heroes fretting about kids, just like they tried to make me shoehorn a kid into a #Blade. Look the film could be great. But right now I see a bunch of ‘oh the children’ lazy storyline and Doctor Doom reduced from a king and leader to a kidnapper LOL.”

Recently, DeMayo also criticized Jake Schreier for being chosen as director of the upcoming X-Men reboot, a position he reportedly wanted for himself.
