Marvel has shared a new trailer for its upcoming Disney+ series Wonder Man, and this time fans finally get a clear look at the hero’s powers.

The footage moves away from the earlier focus on satire and showbiz jokes and leans more into classic superhero action. For many MCU fans, this is the first real hint of what Simon Williams can actually do on screen.

The series is based on the Marvel Comics character Wonder Man and stars Yahya Abdul-Mateen II in the lead role. He plays Simon Williams, an actor who is trying to land a major role in a superhero movie that happens to be based on his own comic book counterpart. The story mixes Hollywood life with superhero elements, blending comedy with action. Ben Kingsley also returns as Trevor Slattery, continuing a character MCU viewers already know.

The trailer, released by Marvel Studios, shows that Wonder Man’s abilities will look different from the comics, which is common for MCU adaptations.

Even so, the powers shown feel familiar to superhero fans and signal that the show will not shy away from action. This is a shift from earlier promos, which focused more on the behind-the-scenes movie setting rather than superpowers.

Wonder Man is created by Destin Daniel Cretton and Andrew Guest, with Guest serving as the showrunner. The project is part of Marvel’s larger Disney+ lineup and shares continuity with the MCU films. The cast also includes Arian Moayed, X Mayo, Olivia Thirlby, and others. Production began in 2023 but faced delays due to the writers’ strike before wrapping in 2024. Marvel officially unveiled the series in late 2024.

The show is set to debut on Disney+ on January 27, 2026. All eight episodes will be released as part of Marvel’s Phase Six and will fall under the Marvel Spotlight label, which is meant for more character-driven stories.
