Will Smith Sued by Tour Violinist Over Alleged Sexual Harassment
Will Smith is facing a new lawsuit from a musician who performed on his recent tour. The case was filed this week and includes serious claims of s***** harassment, retaliation, and wrongful termination.
The plaintiff is violinist Brian King Joseph, who has appeared on “America’s Got Talent.” In the lawsuit, Joseph names Smith and his company, Treyball Studios Management. He claims that while working with Smith, he was subjected to inappropriate behavior that went beyond a normal professional relationship.
According to the filing, Joseph was first brought on in late 2024 for a single concert. After that performance, he says Smith encouraged him to join the 2025 tour and also discussed future music projects.
Joseph alleges that during this time, Smith made personal remarks suggesting they shared a unique and special bond. The lawsuit describes this as part of a pattern meant to blur professional boundaries.
Problems escalated during a tour stop early in 2025. Joseph says that while staying at a hotel arranged for the tour, his bag containing his room key went missing for hours.
When it was returned, he later discovered signs that someone had entered his room without permission. Items were left behind, including wipes, prescription medication labeled with another person’s name, and a handwritten note that read, “Brian, I’ll be back no later [sic] 5:30, just us (drawn heart), Stone F.”
Joseph says the situation made him fear that someone intended to return to his room for s***** activity without his consent. He contacted hotel security, alerted members of the tour team, and reported the incident to local authorities using a non-emergency line.
The lawsuit claims that instead of receiving support, Joseph was criticized by management shortly afterward. He alleges he was fired from the tour and told that the incident was fabricated. He argues that the termination was retaliation for reporting what happened.
Joseph says losing the tour job caused financial harm and emotional distress. The lawsuit states that he later experienced symptoms of PTSD. He is asking for damages related to sexual harassment, retaliation, and wrongful termination, with the amount to be decided by a jury.
These accusations are serious and deserve careful review in court. Claims like this highlight how power dynamics in the music industry can leave artists feeling unsafe or unheard. At the same time, it is important to remember that lawsuits present one side of the story until facts are tested through legal proceedings.
