‘Euphoria’ Season 3 Teaser Lands, Official Trailer Release Date Also Confirmed

HBO has released a teaser for the highly anticipated third season of Euphoria, and fans won’t have to wait long for the full trailer, which is set to drop tomorrow. The new season will premiere in April and promises major developments for Zendaya’s Rue and the rest of the cast.

The story jumps five years ahead, placing Rue “south of the border” in Mexico. Showrunner Sam Levinson explained that the time jump made sense because the characters would now be out of college. “We basically pick up Rue south of the border in Mexico, in debt to Laurie, trying to come up with some very innovative ways to pay it off,” Levinson said.

Meanwhile, Cassie and Nate are now engaged, living suburban lives, and navigating the pressures of social media. Levinson added, “I feel strongly this is our best season yet… I will say that Cassie and Nate do, in fact, get married. I’m confirming it. And I promise that it will be an unforgettable night.”

Fans can also expect updates on other familiar faces. Hunter Schafer’s Jules is attending art school, Alexa Demie’s Maddy is working as a talent agent in Hollywood with various side hustles, and Maude Apatow’s Lexi becomes the assistant to a showrunner played by Sharon Stone.

The returning cast includes Zendaya, Hunter Schafer, Jacob Elordi, Sydney Sweeney, Alexa Demie, Maude Apatow, Courteney Cox, and Eric Dane. Martha Kelly and Chloe Cherry have been promoted to series regulars, while Colman Domingo and Dominic Fike return as guest stars. New additions include Adewale Akinnuoye-Agbaje, Rosalia, Marshawn Lynch, Sharon Stone, and Natasha Lyonne, among others.

Music will also see a major upgrade this season. Oscar-winning composer Hans Zimmer joins Labrinth, who has scored previous seasons.

Zimmer shared, “It’s an honor to join this incredible team of storytellers led by the visionary Sam Levinson… I’m looking forward to contributing to the ongoing story and helping shape this new season through music.” Labrinth added, “Another chapter in the ‘Euphoria’ universe! So great to join Hans, one of my heroes in film score, and bring some new magic to this new season.”

Behind the scenes, Emmy winners Julio C. Perez IV, Marcell Rév, Doniella Davy, Ryan Heffington, and Kim Kimble return to ensure the season maintains its signature style and high production quality.
