After the Golden Globes on Sunday, Jan. 11, Taylor and several other stars flew from the West Coast to the East Coast to celebrate the upcoming film. The New York premiere marked another major stop on the awards-season circuit, and Taylor clearly used the moment to make a strong fashion statement.
The Rip is an upcoming action thriller from Netflix, written and directed by Joe Carnahan. He developed the story with Michael McGrale. The film centers on a group of Miami police officers who stumble upon millions of dollars in cash. As word spreads about the discovery, trust breaks down and the group starts to question who they can rely on.
The cast includes Matt Damon, Ben Affleck, Steven Yeun, and Teyana Taylor, along with Sasha Calle, Catalina Sandino Moreno, Scott Adkins, Kyle Chandler, Néstor Carbonell, and Lina Esco. Taylor plays Detective Numa Baptiste, while Damon and Affleck take on leading roles as fellow officers caught in the chaos.
Netflix has confirmed that The Rip will be released on January 16.
