Meghan Trainor and Daryl Sabara are celebrating a very big moment at home. The couple has welcomed their third child and first daughter, and fans quickly flooded social media after the news went public. The singer shared the announcement herself on Instagram, where the first photos of the baby instantly went viral.

According to Trainor’s post, their baby girl was born on January 18, 2026. The couple used a surrogate for the pregnancy, something Trainor has spoken openly about before. In her message, she introduced their daughter to the world and thanked the woman who carried her. “Our baby girl Mikey Moon Trainor has finally made it to the world thanks to our incredible, superwoman surrogate,” she wrote on Instagram.

Trainor made it clear that the journey was emotional and deeply personal. She shared that the decision to go the surrogacy route came after many talks with medical professionals. “We had endless conversations with our doctors in this journey and this was the safest way for us to be able to continue growing our family,” she explained in the same post. She also thanked the medical teams involved, saying “we are forever grateful to all the doctors, nurses, teams who made this dream possible.”

The new baby joins two older brothers, Riley, who is 4, and Barry, who is 2. Trainor revealed that the boys were excited the entire time and even helped choose their sister’s name. “Riley and Barry have been so excited, they even got to choose her middle name,” she shared, adding that the family is “over the moon in love with this precious girl.”

Trainor has been open in the past about why surrogacy felt like the right choice. In a previous interview with KIIS FM, she spoke about having C-sections with both of her sons and dealing with gestational diabetes during pregnancy. Those experiences made future pregnancies more complicated, which led her and Sabara to explore other options.

She has also talked openly about wanting a big family. In a past interview with People magazine after Riley was born, Trainor said she was “ready for three more kids!” Now, with three children at home, that dream is clearly taking shape.
