Netflix released the trailer for the third season of “The Night Agent” on Wednesday. Fans finally got a look at what is coming next for FBI agent Peter Sutherland. The wait for the actual show is almost over because the new season hits the streaming service all over the world on February 19.

The story looks very intense this time around. In the second season, Peter had to stop a spy from blowing up Manhattan. Now, he has a different kind of problem. He is chasing a Treasury Agent who killed a boss and ran away to a different country with secret government information. Peter has to deal with a group involving dark money while trying to escape assassins. During his mission, he crosses paths with a reporter who refuses to quit.

According to the official plot description, the two of them have to rely on each other. The summary says, “Working together, they uncover buried secrets and old grudges that threaten to bring the government to its knees – and get them both killed in the process.”

Gabriel Basso is coming back to play Sutherland. There are many other series regulars joining him for this new chapter. The cast includes Louis Herthum, Stephen Moyer, Callum Vinson, and David Lyons. Viewers will also see Fola Evans-Akingbola, Jennifer Morrison, Albert Jones, Ward Horton, and Genesis Rodriguez.

This show has been a massive hit ever since it started on Netflix in 2023. It was originally based on a political thriller book from 2019 written by Matthew Quirk. The second season was especially popular. Variety reported that when Season 2 came out, it went straight to the number one spot on Netflix’s Top 10 list. It reached 13.9 million views in just its first four days.

Shawn Ryan is the man running the show. He is the creator and showrunner, and he is known for other famous shows like “The Shield” and “S.W.A.T.” He is also an executive producer. He is working with a large team of other executive producers for Season 3, including Marney Hochman, Seth Gordon, Julia Gunn, James Vanderbilt, and several others.
