Jennifer Lawrence has always been known for her unfiltered humor, and she recently brought that chaotic energy to a new interview. The Oscar-winning actress appeared on Amy Poehler’s podcast, Good Hang, this week to discuss everything from her career to her personal habits. During the episode, Lawrence shared a list of her nicknames, which included a few surprising choices.

The conversation started innocently enough before veering into NSFW territory. Amy Poehler shifted the discussion into a round of quick-fire questions about everyday habits. Approximately half an hour into their chat, she asked Lawrence if she had any specific nicknames growing up.

Lawrence began the list with a harmless childhood moniker, replying, “Fluffin.” She then listed “Nitro” while maintaining a completely straight poker face. However, the mood changed instantly when she dropped the bomb and uttered the censored name, “B****”

At this point, the interview devolved into chaos as both Lawrence and Poehler cracked up. The American Hustle actor did a quick save to try and professionalize the moment. She joked, “B**** Lawrence with the full governmental name.”

Although she did not explain the exact origin of the NSFW nickname, the reaction spoke for itself. Poehler was reportedly almost falling from her seat while belly laughing at the confession. After the laughter subsided, Lawrence did explain where the name “Nitro” came from.

She attributed that specific label to her siblings. “My brothers, cause I was really hyper and they called me Nitro,” she explained. Poehler laughed at the image of a hyperactive young Lawrence, and the actor kept the list moving.

The most self-deprecating nickname on the list was a reference to the film Barbie. Lawrence revealed that her current friend group uses the name to roast her. “My friends call me Ken from the Barbie movie cuz I’m just Ken,” she said.

She went on to clarify what they mean by the comparison. “I think it’s their way of calling me stupid,” she admitted with a laugh. Whenever she says something silly or dense, her friends simply reply, “She’s just Ken.”

The gag is a direct nod to Ryan Gosling’s character Ken in the Barbie movie, whose job is simply “beach.” The chat stayed loose and focused heavily on pop culture consumption. Lawrence is a known fan of reality television, and the topic of Below Deck came up.

When asked what job she would choose if she were a crew member on Below Deck, she chose a low-drama role. “I would go into that laundry and I’d f**** that laundry up,” she joked. She explained that the isolation would allow her to multitask with her other interests.

She added, “I’d listen to some murder [true crime stories].” Beyond television habits, the Die My Love star also dropped a quick style rule regarding street photos. Her advice focused on silhouette balance to avoid looking awkward.

“Big goes with big,” she stated regarding clothing fit. She elaborated by saying, “if you’re gonna have a baggy and a tight, you cannot ever have a tight on the bottom, baggy on the top, or you’ll look like a lamp.” This specific fashion tip highlights her preference for comfortable yet structured aesthetic choices.

Jennifer Lawrence has been keeping busy with several high-profile projects recently. She is currently promoting her role in the film Die My Love. This movie is a collaboration with acclaimed director Lynne Ramsay, known for intense psychological dramas.

In the film, Lawrence portrays a mother struggling to maintain her sanity in a rural setting. It marks a return to more dramatic, gritty fare for the actress. This follows her successful turn in the R-rated comedy No Hard Feelings, which she also produced.

Lawrence first rose to international superstardom as Katniss Everdeen in The Hunger Games franchise. She proved her acting chops early on, winning an Academy Award for Best Actress for Silver Linings Playbook. She remains one of the youngest actresses in history to receive four Oscar nominations.

Beyond acting, she has taken on a significant role behind the camera as a producer. Her production company, Excellent Cadaver, has been developing various projects across film and television. One of their recent releases was the documentary Bread & Roses, which focuses on the lives of women in Afghanistan.

During the podcast, she teased her next big ambition for her career. “I wrote a comedy,” she revealed to Poehler. She expressed a strong desire to take full creative control of the project.

“I would love to direct it and I’ll star in it,” she added. This would mark her directorial debut, signaling a major evolution in her career path. Meanwhile, Amy Poehler is celebrating success of her own.

We are curious to know if you agree with Jennifer’s fashion rule about looking like a lamp, so please tell us your opinion in the comments.
