Marvel fans finally got their first real look at what’s coming next in Daredevil: Born Again season 2, and the trailer did not waste time making noise. The footage dropped Tuesday morning and was released by Marvel Studios and Disney+, quickly spreading across social media.

At first, the trailer plays it calm. Matt Murdock and Karen Page look happy as they dance together. Bullseye is seen casually enjoying a milkshake. Wilson Fisk appears relaxed and powerful, fully settled into his role as mayor of New York. For a few seconds, it almost feels like things are normal. That mood doesn’t last long.

Very quickly, the tone shifts and the city looks darker again. Fisk’s version of New York is shown as harsh and controlled, with police power clearly being abused. This follows the events of the season one finale, where Matt and Karen realized they couldn’t stop Fisk on their own. That’s when a familiar face shows up.

Jessica Jones is back. Krysten Ritter returns to the role, marking the first time the character appears in the new Marvel television era. Her arrival makes it clear Matt is no longer fighting alone, even if she’s not exactly gentle with him. She doesn’t sugarcoat anything and seems unimpressed by his emotional struggles.

The trailer also offers a first look at Matthew Lillard in a new role. He plays a mysterious character named Mr. Charles, though details about who he really is are being kept quiet for now. Fans also spotted Foggy Nelson in the footage, played by Elden Henson. Based on how season one ended, his appearance is expected to be through flashbacks.

Marvel also released the official synopsis alongside the trailer. It reads, In Season 2, Mayor Wilson Fisk crushes New York City underfoot as he hunts down public enemy number one, the Hell’s Kitchen vigilante known as Daredevil. But beneath the horned mask, Matt Murdock will try to fight back from the shadows to tear down the Kingpin’s corrupt empire and redeem his home. Resist. Rebel. Rebuild.

Along with the new footage, fans finally got a release date. Daredevil: Born Again season 2 will premiere on March 24, according to Marvel Studios.

The trailer makes one thing clear. The fight against Fisk is far from over, and Matt Murdock’s world is only getting more dangerous.
