Chris Hemsworth proved that sometimes the loudest statement on a red carpet is a whisper of pure, understated class. At the London premiere of “Crime 101” on Wednesday, Jan. 28, the actor bypassed the usual high-contrast trends for a monochromatic look that felt both timeless and remarkably fresh.

Hemsworth arrived at the event wearing a crisp all-white suit that immediately became the talk of the evening. The double-button blazer featured gold-toned buttons that sat perfectly on his shoulders, lending a touch of nautical sophistication to the sharp tailoring. He paired the suit with matching trousers and an open-collar white shirt, opting for a relaxed yet refined silhouette that skipped the formality of a tie.

The look was anchored by a pair of classic brown leather shoes, providing just enough of a tonal shift to keep the ensemble grounded. In his solo shots, the 42-year-old star appeared calm and collected, often posing with one hand in his pocket while looking directly into the cameras. Later, he was joined by a powerhouse lineup of costars, including Halle Berry, Barry Keoghan, Monica Barbaro, and Mark Ruffalo.

Hemsworth doesn’t overplay in the moment; he lets the white suit do the talking. Social media fans were quick to celebrate the choice, noting that the “all-white” aesthetic mirrored the “sun-bleached grit” of the film’s Los Angeles setting.

Scheduled for a theatrical release on Feb. 13, “Crime 101” is a high-stakes heist thriller based on the 2020 novella by Don Winslow. Hemsworth stars as Davis, a methodical and elusive jewel thief who adheres to a strict set of rules—the titular “Crime 101″—to avoid detection. The story follows Davis as he plans one final, massive score along the iconic 101 freeway, only to find himself caught between a relentless detective (Mark Ruffalo) and a disillusioned insurance broker (Halle Berry).

This project marks a significant shift for Hemsworth, who also serves as a producer on the film. While the world knows him best as the God of Thunder, 2026 is shaping up to be a year of massive variety for the Australian actor. In addition to “Crime 101,” fans are gearing up for his return as Thor in “Avengers: Doomsday,” which is slated for a December release and features Robert Downey Jr. as the villainous Doctor Doom.

Hemsworth has also been exploring roles outside the superhero genre, having recently voiced Orion Pax in “Transformers One” and starred in the post-apocalyptic epic “Furiosa: A Mad Max Saga.” Reports have also circulated about him potentially leading a modern reimagining of “Tarzan,” further cementing his status as one of Hollywood’s most versatile leading men.

Directed by Bart Layton, “Crime 101” has been described by critics as a “grounded, old-school cops-and-robbers narrative” that prioritizes character tension over mindless explosions. With the film’s release just weeks away, the London premiere served as a perfect reminder that whether he’s wielding a mystical hammer or a master thief’s toolkit, Hemsworth carries it all with effortless style.

Do you think Chris Hemsworth’s transition into more grounded, grit-driven crime thrillers like “Crime 101” is the best path for his career post-Marvel, or do you still prefer him in blockbuster superhero roles? Please share your thoughts in the comments.
