Beverly Hills turned into a neon green spectacle last night as A24 hosted the Los Angeles premiere of its new meta-mockumentary The Moment. The January 29, event drew a star-studded crowd to celebrate the film, which mixes pop culture satire with over-the-top comedy. Fans and photographers lined the red carpet to catch Kylie Jenner, Charli XCX, Demi Lovato, Conan Gray, and other big names in daring fashion moments.

Kylie Jenner grabbed the spotlight in a Maison Margiela spring 2026 look that left little to the imagination. The star wore a silk ball skirt with a ruffled halter top, showing off her midriff. Standing beside Charli XCX, Jenner marked her official acting debut in the movie with confidence and style.

Charli XCX, who created and stars in the film, chose an outfit as chaotic as the movie itself: a silver corset paired with leather hot pants. It’s fiction, but it’s the realest depiction of the music industry that I’ve ever seen, she told Cosmopolitan, describing how the movie satirizes the pressures and absurdities of pop fame.

Chappell Roan also made a statement with her striking ensemble. Fans quickly called her outfit “Nurse Ratched chic,” featuring a muted jade Ilona straight dress, a matching lambskin hat, and leather gloves by Zana Bayne. The dramatic look fit the film’s theme of blending public personas with private realities.

Directed by Aidan Zamiri in his first feature film, The Moment follows a fictionalized version of Charli XCX navigating her career under extreme corporate control. Alexander Skarsgård plays a director who tries to sanitize her image for the masses, creating absurd scenarios like a Brat-branded credit card. The movie also features cameos from Kylie Jenner in the music video for Residue, Rachel Sennott, Rosanna Arquette, and Jamie Demetriou.

Zamiri told W Magazine, The casting is so fun. You have Rachel Sennott and Kylie Jenner totally making fun of their public images. The mix of indie actors and pop icons gives the film a playful, self-aware tone.

Despite some mixed reviews from critics after its Sundance debut, the premiere proved the film’s pull. A24 reported that tickets for the limited release sold faster than any of their previous films. Fans were equally excited, with many praising the outfits and energy on the red carpet. Troye Sivan, Conan Gray, and Tove Lo were also spotted supporting the movie, joining the celebration of the music industry satire.
