Netflix has released the first teaser for Bridgerton season 4, part 2, giving fans a glimpse of the drama to come. The second half of the season continues the story of Benedict Bridgerton and Sophie Baek, whose relationship has been full of secrets and misunderstandings since they met at the Bridgerton family’s masquerade ball.

In part 1, Benedict (Luke Thompson) met Sophie (Yerin Ha) in disguise and became obsessed with finding the mysterious lady in silver. He eventually meets Sophie again in the countryside, but she is working as a maid, not the highborn woman he thought he had encountered. Despite their complicated start, the two share a romantic moment at Bridgerton House by the end of episode 4, where Benedict asks Sophie to become his mistress.

Showrunner Jess Brownell told Netflix’s Tudum that Sophie is unlikely to accept Benedict’s shocking proposal. “For Sophie, the idea of being a mistress is the worst possible thing she could be asked,” she explained. Brownell added that Sophie hopes Benedict might look past society’s rules and see the unique bond they share.

Thompson, who plays Benedict, described his character’s conflicting nature: “[Benedict] just wants to have his cake and eat it [too]. Deep down, I think he is. He doesn’t like to sort of go anywhere too serious or too committed.” Yerin Ha, who plays Sophie, noted that the character’s past trauma makes her wary of trust: “[Sophie knows] she could be on the street with no money. That’s why she has her guard up. She doesn’t trust anyone who says, ‘I promise this for you.’”

Part 2 of season 4 will premiere on February 26, at 3 A.M. ET, following the split-season approach Netflix first used with Bridgerton season 3. Each half of the season includes four episodes, with titles for part 2 being “Yes and No,” “The Passing Winter,” “The Beyond,” and “Dance in the Country.” Brownell explained that the split allows the story to build to a dramatic midpoint before the second half delivers the consequences of earlier events.

The teaser trailer shows glimpses of high-stakes romance, social tension, and the elegance fans expect from the ton. It promises that Benedict and Sophie’s story will continue to test their loyalty, trust, and desire in the coming episodes.

Part 2 of Bridgerton season 4 is highly anticipated, and the teaser has already sparked excitement among fans eager to see whether Sophie will accept Benedict’s proposal and how their relationship will evolve in the glittering yet strict world of Regency London.
