Woody Allen’s Wife Criticized the #MeToo Movement in Private Emails With Jeffrey Epstein
The legal fallout surrounding the late Jeffrey Epstein has taken a new turn with the release of millions of documents under the Epstein Files Transparency Act. Among the most discussed entries in this massive data dump are several email exchanges involving Soon-Yi Previn, the wife of filmmaker Woody Allen.
These messages, unsealed by the Department of Justice on Friday, offer a rare look into Previn’s private communications and her personal views on cultural movements and high-profile scandals.
In one 2018 email, Previn shared a message with Epstein that she had originally composed for herself. The subject line made a sharp comparison, suggesting that the Me Too movement had become just as excessive as the use of Botox.
This exchange happened around the same time that the movement was gaining significant traction across the globe, especially within the film industry that she and Allen have been part of for decades.
Previn’s emails also touched on other controversies, including a 2016 link she sent to Epstein regarding former congressman Anthony Weiner’s s*****g scandal. In her commentary, she expressed sympathy for Weiner, writing that he simply can’t seem to learn and that she felt bad for both him and his wife.
However, she was much harsher toward the teenage victim in the case, describing the girl’s actions as disgusting and accusing her of being the one who took advantage of an older man.
In her messages, Previn characterized the young girl as someone who knew exactly what she was doing and had manipulated a vulnerable man like a fish to bait. She went as far as to say that the victim should be ashamed of herself for her role in the scandal.
These newly public statements have reignited discussions about Previn’s own history, specifically her marriage to Allen, which began after his relationship with her adoptive mother, Mia Farrow, ended in the early 1990s.
Woody Allen has previously addressed his connection to Epstein, admitting in a 2025 interview that he found the financier to be charming and personable. He recalled attending dinner parties at Epstein’s home that were filled with illustrious people like scientists and Nobel laureates.
Allen maintained that during these social gatherings, he never witnessed any improper behavior or the presence of underage girls, claiming Epstein always appeared with age-appropriate girlfriends.
