HBO has just offered a tantalizing glimpse into the next chapter of its prestige drama “Euphoria,” and it includes a heavy dose of Hollywood royalty. A newly released promotional image confirms that Sharon Stone is officially entering the fold for the show’s long-awaited third season. In the first look at her character, the “Basic Instinct” icon exudes power as she steps into the high-stakes world of the entertainment industry.

The photograph features Stone dressed in a sleek, all-black professional ensemble, seated behind a desk that suggests a position of significant authority. Holding a pen and smirking confidently at an unseen companion, she appears right at home in a room filled with corporate staples like a laptop, a lunch bowl, and her reading glasses. The most telling detail, however, is the view from her window, which clearly displays the legendary Warner Bros. water tower.

The setting confirms that her character is a major player on a studio lot, a role HBO punctuated on social media with a concise three-word teaser. She runs the show, the network captioned the post, signaling that Stone’s character will likely be a formidable force for the younger cast members to contend with. Stone herself seemed to confirm the high energy of the upcoming episodes, responding to the post with a heart emoji and the comment, We’re so back.

The actress previously expressed her enthusiasm for joining the acclaimed series and its creative lead, Sam Levinson. There is little more exciting than going to work with this team of thrilling talent, Stone said in an earlier statement regarding her casting.

She praised the production’s unique energy, noting she felt moved by the raw sophistication of this profoundly moving cast and tight crew. Stone’s arrival coincides with a dramatic shift for the series, which is set to premiere on April 12. After a four-year hiatus, the story will feature a significant five-year time jump, moving the characters away from the halls of East Highland High and into the complexities of adulthood.

While many plot details remain secret, creator Sam Levinson revealed that Stone will play a showrunner who hires Lexi Howard, played by Maude Apatow, as her assistant.

Outside of the “Euphoria” universe, Sharon Stone remains as prolific as ever in both film and television. She recently took on a villainous turn in the action-packed “Nobody 2” opposite Bob Odenkirk, which hit theaters in late 2025.

How do you think Lexi will handle working for a powerhouse studio executive played by Sharon Stone in the comments?
