Kaley Cuoco is sharing her honest thoughts on the mom group drama that started after Ashley Tisdale French spoke out about leaving what she called a “toxic” circle of moms.

The comments came during Cuoco’s appearance on Watch What Happens Live with Andy Cohen on February 5. She was on the show to promote her new series Vanished when a fan asked her to react to the situation. The question focused on the fact that Cuoco is part of a mom group herself.

Cuoco did not hold back. After shaking her head, she gave a very simple answer. “I mean, if you don’t like being part of a group, just leave, baby,” she said. Host Andy Cohen quickly agreed, responding with “Right?”

Cuoco went on to say that she did not think the issue needed to be dragged out publicly. “I don’t think we have to talk about it,” she said. Cohen jumped in with a joke about writing an essay, which made Cuoco smile. “You don’t have to do that,” she replied. “Just leave … find a new group.” Fellow guest Erika Jayne also added, “Find someone else.” Cuoco agreed.

According to Watch What Happens Live, the moment quickly went viral online due to Cuoco’s blunt and calm take on the issue.

The discussion follows a personal essay written by Ashley Tisdale French for The Cut last month. In the piece, titled Breaking Up With My Toxic Mom Group, Tisdale French explained that her group felt unkind and emotionally draining.

She compared the experience to being back in high school. “If a mom group consistently leaves you feeling hurt, drained or left out, it’s not the mom group for you,” she wrote. She also added that stepping away does not make someone cruel, but honest with themselves.

Tisdale French, who shares daughters Jupiter Iris and Emerson Clover with her husband Christopher French, did not name anyone in the essay. Even so, fans online quickly began guessing which celebrities might have been involved.

Shortly after the essay gained attention, actress Ashley Jones posted a message on Instagram that many saw as a response. In the post, which has since been deleted, Jones shared photos with friends including Kaley Cuoco and praised her own mom group. “Shoutout to my village, without whom I could be very lost and lonely,” she wrote, calling the group loving and supportive.

Cuoco, who is a mom to 2-year-old daughter Matilda with fiancé Tom Pelphrey, has not commented further beyond her TV appearance. Her message, however, was clear. If a group no longer feels right, walking away is okay.

The debate around mom groups has continued to grow online, with many parents sharing their own experiences. Some praised Tisdale French for being open, while others agreed with Cuoco’s view that leaving quietly can sometimes be the best choice.
