The 98th Oscar Nominee Luncheon in Beverly Hills on Tuesday brought together some of Hollywood’s biggest stars, and one moment in particular caught everyone’s attention. Jacob Elordi and Teyana Taylor shared a warm hug that had photographers and fans buzzing.

According to reports from attendees, the two actors appeared genuinely happy to see each other. Elordi, known for his height, leaned down to embrace Taylor as they celebrated their first Academy Award nominations together. The pair chatted animatedly before joining the rest of the nominees for the annual “class photo.”

Jacob Elordi is nominated for Best Supporting Actor for his role as The Creature in Guillermo del Toro’s Frankenstein. He has had a busy start to 2026, starring as Heathcliff in Emerald Fennell’s Wuthering Heights alongside Margot Robbie. He is also set to appear in the sci-fi film The Dog Stars with Margaret Qualley, Benedict Wong, and Josh Brolin. On television, he recently won an AACTA Award for his performance in the miniseries The Narrow Road to the Deep North and will return for the third season of Euphoria.

Teyana Taylor is nominated for Best Supporting Actress for her performance in the drama One Battle After Another, directed by Paul Thomas Anderson. She is also making her feature directorial debut with the Paramount Pictures project Get Lite, which stars Storm Reid and focuses on New York City’s underground subway dance culture.

The luncheon is designed as a low-pressure event for nominees to meet and celebrate each other’s achievements. Many attendees commented on the friendly vibe this year, noting that Elordi and Taylor’s hug reflected the supportive atmosphere.

The 98th Academy Awards will take place on March 15, at the Dolby Theatre. Elordi has confirmed he will attend with his mother as his guest. With so many projects lined up for both stars, they are expected to remain in the spotlight throughout the year.
