Nicolas Cage’s ‘Spider-Noir’ Trailer Drops – See the Dark New Spider-Man and Premiere Date
Nicolas Cage is taking on Spider-Man like you’ve never seen him before in Prime Video’s upcoming series Spider-Noir. The first teaser trailer has dropped, giving fans a first look at the live-action take on the Marvel Comics character.
In the show, Cage plays Ben Reilly, a once-famous superhero who is now an aging private investigator in 1930s New York. He’s down on his luck and forced to face the shadows of his past life as the city’s one and only web-slinger. The trailer shows Cage switching between a weary detective and a black-clad, mask-wearing vigilante. The tagline sets the tone perfectly: “With No Power Comes No Responsibility.”

Prime Video confirmed that Spider-Noir will premiere on May 27, with all episodes available for binge-watching at once. The series also comes with a special feature: viewers can watch it in either “Authentic Black & White” or “True-Hue Full Color,” reflecting the muted look of the original comics versus a full-color option.
The cast includes Lamorne Morris from Fargo, Li Jun Li from Sinners, Karen Rodriguez from The Hunting Wives, Abraham Popoola from Slow Horses, Jack Huston from Boardwalk Empire, and Brendan Gleeson from The Banshees of Inisherin.
Spider-Noir is produced by Sony Pictures Television for MGM+ and Prime Video, with Harry Bradbeer, known for Fleabag, directing and executive producing the first two episodes. Co-showrunners and executive producers Oren Uziel (The Lost City) and Steve Lightfoot (The Punisher) developed the series alongside Phil Lord, Christopher Miller, and Amy Pascal, who were part of Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse.
Spider-Noir promises a darker, more stylish take on Spider-Man, blending noir detective storytelling with superhero action. Fans can’t wait to see how Cage’s intense performance brings this unique corner of the Spider-Verse to life.
