Margot Robbie Turns Heads in Haunted Corset Look at ‘Wuthering Heights’ Sydney Premiere
Margot Robbie turned heads at the Sydney premiere of Wuthering Heights on Thursday, February 12, as she embraced the film’s stormy, gothic atmosphere. The Australian actress, 35, wore a pale écru Ashi Studio Couture gown with sheer off-the-shoulder sleeves and a dramatically shredded skirt that immediately drew attention.
The custom corset bodice was crafted with Mr. Pearl, giving the look an 18th-century structure, and the fabric was hand-painted to resemble an aged, antique texture. She finished the ensemble with a yellow and blackened gold diamond choker by Lorraine Schwartz and custom Manolo Blahnik shoes.
“I knew that if somebody else made this film, I’d be furious,” Robbie told the press, highlighting how personal this project was to her.

Co-star Jacob Elordi, who plays Heathcliff, matched the dark energy of the premiere in a blue double-breasted suit. He added a touch of character with a gold tooth cap, sparkling with a tiny diamond next to an engraved H, reflecting the film’s attention to detail.
The Wuthering Heights press tour has been a visual spectacle since it began in late January, with Robbie working closely with stylist Andrew Mukamal, the same stylist behind her memorable Barbie looks, to bring Catherine Earnshaw’s brooding energy to life. Directed by Emerald Fennell, the film takes a bold approach to Emily Brontë’s classic story, opting for emotional intensity over a strict period-piece adaptation. The soundtrack includes original contributions from Charli XCX, adding a modern edge to the tale.

Robbie’s production company, LuckyChap Entertainment, has had a busy year, and Wuthering Heights marks an early highlight for 2026 following a modest box office performance for A Big Bold Beautiful Journey. She is also developing a live-action Sims movie and the Ocean’s Eleven prequel with Ryan Gosling.
Elordi has also maintained a strong presence in Hollywood after his acclaimed turn in Guillermo del Toro’s Frankenstein. He will return as Nate Jacobs in the upcoming third season of Euphoria and stars in Ridley Scott’s post-apocalyptic thriller The Dog Stars.
The film also features Hong Chau as Nelly Dean, Shazad Latif as Edgar Linton, and Alison Oliver. Filmed on location in the North Yorkshire countryside, the production uses minimalist and surrealist sets to emphasize the psychological tension at the heart of the story.
With Wuthering Heights releasing worldwide on February 13, the film is set to hit theaters just in time for Valentine’s Day. Robbie’s haunting, gothic look and the chemistry with Elordi have already made the Sydney premiere the talk of the town.
