Ireland Baldwin is offering some unfiltered wisdom to her fellow “nepo babies” about how to navigate life in the shadow of famous parents. The 30-year-old daughter of Alec Baldwin and Kim Basinger took to social media on February 11 to outline a set of social rules she believes other celebrity offspring should be following.

Her primary piece of advice focused on the importance of honesty regarding their privileged backgrounds, urging them to stop denying it and to acknowledge who they are. She noted that claiming full credit for one’s success without admitting the doors that were opened by a famous surname makes the community look really silly.

In a more lighthearted moment, Ireland suggested that those with two famous parents are allowed an unlimited number of daily crying sessions to cope with the pressure. She also shared a humorous strategy for gift-giving, telling her peers to lie when buying presents for their parents with their parents’ money.

According to her, the best cover story is to claim the gift was purchased with a residual check that you received from a Canadian Lifetime film that was done years ago. Ireland also touched on the necessity of appearing relatable to those outside the Hollywood bubble, cautioning against bragging about VIP Disney tours.

She wrapped up her guide by advising nepo babies to date people whose families are devastated by a breakup, simply because they are secretly your parents’ biggest fans. As of this year, Ireland Baldwin is navigating a busy and fulfilling life in Gearhart, Oregon, where she moved to escape the intense scrutiny of Los Angeles.

She and her partner, Portuguese musician André Allen Anjos—better known as RAC—are currently raising their daughter, Holland, who celebrated her second birthday in May 2025. While she has largely stepped away from full-time modeling, Ireland remains a frequent guest on reality segments, including a recent appearance on her father’s new family-centric show, The Baldwins.

Outside of her digital presence, Ireland is a vocal advocate for animal rights and mental health awareness. On February 12, she shared a fiery Instagram post alongside her rescue dog, Kurt, reminding her followers that you are a scumbag if you choose to buy dogs from breeders rather than adopting.

She has also been candid about her journey with anxiety and body image, often using her platform to promote self-love and authentic living. In terms of creative ventures, Ireland and RAC have expanded their business portfolio by co-owning a successful boutique and cafe in their small Oregon town.

Do you think Ireland Baldwin’s “nepo baby rules” are a helpful way to bridge the gap between celebrity children and the public, or is the concept of a relatable celebrity child an inherent contradiction in the comments?
