Ana de Armas continues to shine as one of Hollywood’s most captivating stars, proving that her rise from a promising young actress to an international icon has been effortless. The Academy Award-nominated actress recently returned to the red carpet at the opening night of the 2025 Red Sea International Film Festival in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia, where she instantly became the center of attention.

For the high-profile event, de Armas wore a custom black silk crêpe gown by Louis Vuitton. The dress featured a daring plunging neckline and a mermaid silhouette. Silver embroidery ran across the gown, designed to look like fireworks bursting over the fabric. She accessorized with pieces from the Louis Vuitton Fine Jewelry collection, including a star-cut diamond ring and delicate pendants. Her appearance was described by fashion outlets as “stunning” and “unforgettable.”

While her outfits often make headlines, de Armas remains deeply focused on her acting. During an In Conversation session at the festival, she reflected on her career and expressed a desire to reconnect with European cinema. I would love to go back and work there. I love European cinema, she said, highlighting her hope to receive more scripts from Spanish filmmakers.

She also shared her thoughts on handling public attention and the pressures of fame. You may miss what is right in front of you because you set expectations and make it harder on yourself, de Armas explained. Her advice reflects a grounded approach to life and career, helping her stay focused despite a busy schedule.

The past year has been packed for de Armas. She starred as Eve Macarro in the John Wick spin-off, Ballerina, playing an assassin-in-training seeking revenge for her father’s death. She worked alongside Keanu Reeves, Anjelica Huston, and the late Lance Reddick, performing many of her own stunts. During promotional interviews, she said, There wouldn’t be a Ballerina without a John Wick, emphasizing the connection between the films.

In addition to action films, she took on a different role in Ron Howard’s survival thriller Eden, based on a true story from the 1920s. De Armas plays Baroness Eloise Bosquet de Wagner Wehrhorn, a manipulative character who disrupts life on a remote Galápagos island. She stars alongside Jude Law, Sydney Sweeney, and Vanessa Kirby, adding a dramatic, complex side to her career this year.

Looking forward, de Armas has several major projects in the works. She is negotiating to star in Apple TV’s espionage series Safe Houses with Jennifer Connelly, which will mark her first leading role in a television series. She is also set to appear as a fitness influencer in the psychological thriller Sweat, directed by J Blakeson, with filming planned in Los Angeles. Other projects include the thriller Reenactment with Benicio del Toro.

Her career demonstrates her versatility. She can move from intense action sequences to elegant, high-fashion red carpets with ease. Whether she is playing a vengeful assassin or a glamorous socialite, Ana de Armas continues to capture attention worldwide. Sources at the festival and her PR team noted that she remains one of the most influential figures in both film and fashion.
