Pedro Pascal and Rafael Olarra were spotted navigating the chilly streets of New York City this past Sunday, February 15. The two were seen linking arms as they strolled through the Lower East Side, seemingly enjoying some light sightseeing before heading off to grab a weekend lunch together.

Despite the biting winter air, the pair appeared in high spirits while they explored the historic Manhattan neighborhood. Pascal took no chances with the freezing temperatures, opting for a layered look that prioritized warmth.

He was heavily bundled in a multi-layered ensemble that included a hoodie tucked under a classic denim jacket, which was then topped off with a thick, oversized cardigan. It was a practical, dapper choice for a man who has recently spent much of his time on high-budget film sets across the globe.

In contrast, Olarra appeared much more acclimated to the New York winter, choosing a simpler but equally stylish outfit. The former Chilean footballer and current creative director at the luxury hotel group Faena wore a sleek navy peacoat over a charcoal crewneck sweater.

While they both looked remarkably sharp, Olarra’s more streamlined appearance suggested he was perfectly at home in the brisk urban climate. The outing has naturally sparked curiosity among fans, given the duo’s shared heritage—both were born in Santiago, Chile—and their close-knit friendship.

Olarra was famously linked to The Hobbit star Luke Evans for several years, a relationship that ended officially in early 2021. Since that high-profile split, he has focused heavily on his design work, while Pascal’s personal life has remained characteristically private despite his meteoric rise to fame.

Pascal’s presence in New York comes during a brief lull in what is arguably the busiest period of his career to date. The 50-year-old actor has recently dominated the cultural conversation following his arrival in the Marvel Cinematic Universe as Reed Richards in The Fantastic Four: First Steps.

That film, which also stars Vanessa Kirby and Joseph Quinn, has solidified his status as a tentpole lead after years of being Hollywood’s favorite supporting player. Beyond his superhero duties, Pascal is preparing for a massive theatrical summer.

He will reprise his role as Din Djarin in the highly anticipated film The Mandalorian & Grogu, set to hit theaters in May under the direction of Jon Favreau. This move from the small screen to the big screen marks a significant milestone for the Star Wars franchise and Pascal’s iconic bounty hunter.

Television fans are also eagerly awaiting his return in the third season of HBO’s The Last of Us, which recently entered production following the massive success of the second season in 2025. Between his commitments to Marvel, Star Wars, and HBO, Pascal has very little downtime, making his quiet Sunday lunch in the city a rare moment of relaxation.
