Halle Berry and Scarlett Johansson shared a memorable Hollywood moment that fans still talk about years later. At the 2021 People’s Choice Awards in Santa Monica, the two actresses were spotted in a private, animated conversation that immediately drew attention. The encounter felt like a celebration of their legendary careers and influence in the action and superhero genres.

Berry was honored with the People’s Icon Award, recognizing decades of groundbreaking work in film. Johansson won Female Movie Star of 2021 for her final performance as Natasha Romanoff in Black Widow. During her speech, Johansson reflected on her journey with Marvel. “When I first started my journey with Marvel, I didn’t know whether or not audiences would like my portrayal of this beloved character,” she said, giving credit to the women behind the scenes. “I also have to mention the badass women that I worked with on this film.”

Berry’s speech was equally moving, highlighting her career longevity and commitment to pushing boundaries. “The only way I’ve been able to step outside of my comfort zone and leave the world better than I found it is because of you,” she told the audience.

Since that night in 2021, both stars have continued to dominate Hollywood. Berry is currently leading the high-stakes heist thriller Crime 101, which hit theaters on February 13. She stars as Sharon Coombs, an insurance broker drawn into a dangerous game with a diamond thief. She’s also set to portray the President of the United States in Apple TV+’s upcoming thriller The President Is Missing, where her character must outsmart her own Secret Service to prevent a global disaster.

Johansson has kept busy with projects of her own. She has confirmed that Disney’s Tower of Terror is still in development and is preparing to star in a bold 2027 reimagining of The Exorcist directed by Mike Flanagan. “It’s a hard nut to crack,” Johansson admitted about the Tower of Terror script. “But we’ll crack the case of it. It’s taking shape!”

The brief exchange between Berry and Johansson in 2021 remains a reminder of the respect and camaraderie between two of Hollywood’s most accomplished actresses. Both continue to shape major film and TV projects, proving their influence on audiences and future performers alike.

Moments like these show that Hollywood icons can inspire without even trying. Halle and Scarlett are living proof that talent, perseverance, and mutual respect never go out of style.
