Jessica Alba Reveals Her Diet That Keeps Her in Incredible Shape at 44
Jessica Alba is about to turn 45 in April, and she’s still impressing fans with her amazing figure. The actress, who is a mother of three, says she keeps in shape through small changes to her daily routine. She focuses on more intense workouts before filming or preparing for roles, but during the rest of the year, she exercises two to three times a week.
Alba stresses that diet is even more important than exercise. “When I work out, my body feels tighter and I definitely feel stronger, but the most important thing is my diet if I want to stay lean. I avoid gluten, dairy, fried and processed foods. I stick to a diet low in sugar and carbs, and high in protein and vegetables,” she told various outlets.
She prefers workouts that make her sweat and push her limits. “I have to sweat — finish a workout like I just ran a marathon. I feel like I haven’t done anything if I don’t push myself to the limit,” Alba explained.
She enjoys pilates and high-intensity training, saying, “Pilates activated muscles I didn’t even know I had. I never would have thought it could be such a great workout. I exercise with friends and it’s really fun. I love moving — running, sweating. I love squats and jumps. I like hiking, swimming, and biking because I know it shapes my body well.”
Alba isn’t fully vegetarian, but she follows a mostly plant-based diet four days a week. “Four days a week I eat only plant-based food, and I don’t drink alcohol on those days. On Fridays, Saturdays, and Sundays, there are no rules — that’s my balance,” she said.
Her meals often include protein shakes, and breakfast usually features avocado and poached eggs. For snacks, she chooses fresh vegetables with hummus or popcorn with Himalayan salt. She avoids sweets, but when she wants something sweet, she opts for fruit or desserts sweetened with honey.
Hydration is another key part of Alba’s routine. “I love coconut water and its benefits. I don’t drink sugary drinks — I stick to coffee, tea, plain water, and coconut water,” she shared. She believes staying properly hydrated is essential for both health and appearance.
Jessica Alba’s simple approach of balancing diet, hydration, and exercise shows that consistency and mindful choices are what keep her in shape at 44.
