Timothée Chalamet might be one of the most visible leading men in Hollywood, but when it comes to his personal life with Kylie Jenner, he is reportedly drawing a very firm line in the sand. Despite the couple’s frequent public displays of affection at high-profile events like the BAFTAs and the Golden Globes, sources suggest that the actor has no intention of making a debut on the family’s reality series.

According to a report from RadarOnline, Chalamet has allegedly made it clear that while he is devoted to Jenner, he will not be partaking in her life as a reality television star. The actor, who recently turned 30, has been dating the Kylie Cosmetics mogul for roughly three years and has even begun acknowledging her during his major award acceptance speeches.

However, when it’s time for the cameras to roll for The Kardashians, Chalamet is nowhere to be found. An insider claimed that doing reality TV is a hard no for him because he allegedly thinks he’s above it. This stance has reportedly caused some friction, as the actor has reportedly insisted that Jenner’s famous sisters and mother, Kris Jenner, keep their distance from the couple’s private matters.

Another source suggested that Chalamet’s reluctance stems from a fear of the so-called “Kardashian curse,” a long-standing internet theory regarding the fortunes of men who date into the family. The insider alleged that Timmy’s terrified of getting swallowed up by the family’s massive media machine and has seen what happens to men who get too close to that specific spotlight.

Consequently, the relationship is reportedly operating on his terms, which includes maintaining a significant amount of distance from the rest of the Kardashian-Jenner clan. On the other side of the fence, Jenner’s family is reportedly skeptical of the actor’s intentions, with some members warning the beauty mogul that she is being used for publicity.

A source claimed that Chalamet wheels her out when there’s a movie to promote, citing their high-profile date nights during the Marty Supreme awards campaign as an example. The insider further alleged that Jenner often has to grovel and beg just for a date, and even when they do meet, he frequently insists on seeing her in private rather than in the presence of her family or their film crews.

Despite these claims of privacy, some critics believe the actor’s moves are highly calculated. One insider suggested that Chalamet is more than happy to use this relationship for publicity when it suits him, pointing to their matching red-carpet outfits and his recent public declarations of love as strategic choices.

While he is reportedly open to taking campaign advice from Kris Jenner to help his chances at the Oscars, he remains adamant about not engaging further with the family’s reality empire. In terms of his professional life, Chalamet has been busier than ever following the late 2025 release of Marty Supreme.

In the Josh Safdie-directed film, he portrays the real-life table tennis legend Marty Reisman, a role that earned him a Golden Globe for Best Actor and a nomination at the BAFTAs. The movie also features a star-studded cast including Gwyneth Paltrow, Tyler, the Creator, and Fran Drescher.

He is currently preparing for the massive December 18 release of Dune: Part Three, where he will return to the role of Paul Atreides alongside Zendaya and Florence Pugh. Beyond the sands of Arrakis, Chalamet is also set to appear in the Bob Dylan biopic A Complete Unknown, which followed his awards trajectory throughout the previous year.

He has also been branching out into production, serving as a producer on Marty Supreme and several other upcoming indie projects. While his professional star continues to rise toward a potential Academy Award, the actor seems determined to keep his personal “foundation” with Jenner far away from the world of scripted reality.
