Hilary Duff recently proved to fans that she knows exactly how to nail a high-fashion corset look. For a new photoshoot in the February issue of Interview Magazine, the singer and actress donned a chic, black strapless corset that exuded a modern “girl boss” energy.

The artist styled the eye-catching piece by wearing an off-the-shoulder pink top with full sleeves underneath, creating a striking contrast of textures and colors. The corset itself displayed intricate embellishments featuring safety pins, adding a rebellious, punk-inspired edge to the polished ensemble.

A bold eye makeup look and loose, voluminous hair rounded off her appearance in the photos, which were captured by photographer Alana O’Herlihy. During the accompanying interview with fellow former child star Dakota Fanning, Duff opened up about her recent return to the spotlight and the liberation she feels in her thirties.

This photoshoot comes at a massive turning point in Duff’s career, following the release of her highly anticipated sixth studio album, Luck… or Something, on February 20. The album, which is her first full-length musical project in over a decade, was primarily produced by her husband, Matthew Koma.

Fans have been sent into a frenzy by the new music, particularly the lead single Mature, which has already sparked endless internet theories regarding its lyrical inspiration. Duff described the new record as her most confessional work to date, noting that it covers everything from the “scars” of her past to the complexities of her current family life.

She told Fanning that her children are so excited to watch me perform, even though the subject matter of the songs deals with more adult themes than her Disney-era hits. The visual aesthetic of the Interview shoot mirrors the mature and edgy direction she has taken with this new era of her artistry.

Outside of the recording studio, Hilary Duff is preparing for a massive return to the stage with “The Lucky Me Tour,” which is set to launch later this year. This global run marks her first headlining tour in nearly 20 years and will include major stops at iconic venues like Madison Square Garden and the Kia Forum.

To accommodate the overwhelming demand from longtime fans, several second dates have already been added to the schedule. In addition to her music, Duff is also set to feature in a new documentary series directed by Sam Wrench, which will chronicle her decade-long journey back to the pop landscape while balancing life as a mother of four.

While her hit series How I Met Your Father concluded in 2023, Duff has hinted that she is still looking for the right “weird and cool” scripts for her next television venture. For now, however, she is focused on reclaiming her throne as a pop icon.
