Sydney Sweeney Is Cutting Professional Ties With Jonathan Davino Following Their Split
Sydney Sweeney has officially severed her final professional connection with her former fiancé, Jonathan Davino, by dismantling their shared production company and establishing a brand new solo venture.
Sources close to the actress revealed that she chose to pay Davino off to ensure a clean slate as she moves forward with her career independently. According to recent reports, Davino is no longer involved in any aspect of the star’s personal or professional life. The pair originally co-founded Fifty-Fifty Films LLC in early 2019, shortly after they began their long-term relationship.
While they managed to produce major hits together, including the horror film Immaculate and the romantic comedy Anyone But You, their partnership reached a breaking point following the end of their engagement in March 2025.
Despite being listed as co-managers as recently as mid-2025, documents filed in December confirmed the company was dissolved by a unanimous vote of its members. Insiders have noted a significant rift in how the former couple views their shared history.
While Davino has reportedly claimed that he made her, those in Sweeney’s circle feel strongly that the producer may have actually been the one benefiting from her rising star. To put an end to the speculation and joint interests, Sweeney’s team filed new paperwork in January to launch Fifty-Fifty Films, Inc., a corporation where she now holds every major leadership title.
In this new iteration of the studio, the Euphoria actress serves as the Chief Executive Officer, Chief Financial Officer, and Secretary. The filing specifically indicates that there are no vacant board seats, signaling that she has taken total control of her future projects.
This business maneuver follows a year of transition for Sweeney, who has been vocal about the difficulty of navigating her personal life while the public maintains its own opinions of what that looks like. As of February, the actress is enjoying a period of immense creative output and professional freedom.
She recently starred in the psychological thriller The Housemaid, which saw her starring alongside Amanda Seyfried. Fans are also eagerly anticipating the return of Cassie Howard, as the third season of Euphoria is officially slated for release in April after a series of high-profile delays and script rewrites.
Looking further into the year, Sweeney is set to portray the legendary screen icon Kim Novak in the biopic Scandalous, which will be directed by Colman Domingo. She has also signed on for a high-octane sci-fi adaptation titled Gundam, where she will appear next to Noah Centineo.
Additionally, rumors continue to swirl regarding her involvement in The Devil Wears Prada 2, with reports suggesting she may join original cast members Meryl Streep and Anne Hathaway in a role that would further cement her status as a Hollywood leading lady.
Beyond her film work, Sweeney has stayed active in the fashion world, having recently launched her own lingerie line, SYRN. She remains one of the most sought-after collaborators in the industry, balancing her responsibilities as a producer with a packed acting schedule.
