Elizabeth Olsen is making headlines again thanks to a throwback video from the 2024 Governors Awards that’s gone viral on X.

Fans have been resharing the clip, which shows the actress in a striking moment of classic Hollywood glamour. Olsen looked effortlessly elegant, reminding everyone why she is considered one of the most stylish stars in the industry.

At the event, held at the Dolby Theatre in Los Angeles, Olsen wore a custom black Givenchy gown. The dress featured dramatic draping that highlighted her silhouette and created a timeless, sophisticated look. Fans on social media praised the ensemble. She paired the gown with REZA jewelry, which added sparkle to the sleek black outfit.

While fans are enjoying this stylish throwback, Olsen has been keeping busy in 2026 with a wide range of film projects. She recently starred in the A24 romantic comedy Eternity, which premiered on Apple TV+ in February after a successful theatrical release.

In the movie, she plays Joan, a woman in the afterlife who must decide whether to stay with her husband of sixty years, played by Miles Teller, or her first love, played by Callum Turner. Critics praised Olsen for her charm and emotional depth, comparing her performance to Diane Keaton’s best work.

Olsen has also impressed audiences with her role in the sci-fi thriller The Assessment, where she stars alongside Alicia Vikander and Himesh Patel. The film explores a dystopian world where a couple must complete a tough seven-day test to prove they are fit to be parents. Along with her work in the award-winning drama His Three Daughters, these roles have shown Olsen’s range in both independent cinema and high-concept storytelling.

Looking ahead, she has several big projects lined up. She will star in the psychological thriller Panic Carefully, directed by Sam Esmail, with Julia Roberts, Eddie Redmayne, and Joe Alwyn. She is also set to appear in the dark comedy Love Child, directed by Todd Solondz, playing a woman stuck in a loveless marriage while her son plots to replace his father with a handsome stranger, played by Charles Melton.

Despite ongoing speculation, Olsen confirmed in a recent interview that she has no plans to return to the Marvel Cinematic Universe as the Scarlet Witch. She is focusing on her first major pilot for FX, Seven Sisters, and continuing her work as a producer.

Elizabeth Olsen continues to prove she can balance big streaming hits, indie films, and high-fashion moments on the red carpet. Her viral throwback in the black Givenchy gown is a perfect reminder of her timeless elegance and presence in Hollywood.
