A young woman with a striking resemblance to her famous parents turned heads in the French capital this week as she arrived for the latest round of Paris Fashion Week. The 21-year-old rising star, who possesses a unique blend of her father’s rugged charisma and her mother’s legendary beauty, solidified her status as a fixture in the high-fashion world.

The guest in question is Deva Cassel, the daughter of French cinema veteran Vincent Cassel and Italian screen icon Monica Bellucci. Her parents, who were married for over a decade before their 2013 split, are renowned for their roles in international blockbusters ranging from the Matrix sequels and Spectre to Black Swan and Ocean’s Twelve.

Attending the Christian Dior presentation on Tuesday, Cassel opted for a sophisticated pinstripe shirt paired with tailored culottes. She appeared relaxed and happy as she navigated the crowd, keeping her natural curls loose and waving to the photographers gathered outside the venue.

However, she previously noted in an interview that people often downplay the effort involved, stating that while a legacy is useful if you don’t know how to do anything, it does not make the work itself any easier.

Her transition into acting has been equally swift, with a debut in 2023 followed by a major role in the Netflix historical drama The Leopard. In the series, which premiered in 2025, she stepped into the shoes of Angelica Sedara, a character famously portrayed by Claudia Cardinale in the original 1963 film.

As of March, Deva Cassel is preparing for one of her most ambitious cinematic roles yet in a new adaptation of The Phantom of the Opera. Directed by Alexandre Castagnetti, the film is described as a romantic, contemporary reimagining of the classic story, with Cassel starring as a ballet dancer named Anastasia.

The project, which is scheduled for a theatrical release in September, reportedly features a large budget and will showcase her training in dance.
