Taylor Swift has officially moved into a new bracket of wealth, with recent reports confirming her net worth has surged to $2 billion. This massive update places the 36-year-old superstar at number seven on the list of celebrity billionaires, a jump from her previous position last year.

She joins an exclusive group of high earners like Oprah Winfrey and Steven Spielberg, who remains the wealthiest on the list with over $7 billion. The primary driver for this financial leap was the incredible success of her record-breaking Eras Tour, which ran for nearly two years and earned more than $2 billion in ticket sales.

This tour didn’t just grow her bank account; it also gave her the funds she needed to finally buy back the rights to her early music catalog. Swift recently shared on The Late Show with Stephen Colbert that her fans are the reason she was able to reclaim her work.

“That’s how I spent that Eras Tour money. My fans are why I was able to get my music back,” she told the host. Beyond her touring income, Swift’s fortune includes a music catalog valued at $900 million and a real estate portfolio worth about $100 million.

Her decision to rerecord her first six albums as “Taylor’s Version” proved to be a genius business move that dominated the charts and increased her overall value. During her talk with Colbert, she expressed deep gratitude for how the last few years have unfolded, both in her career and her personal life.

“Getting engaged to the love of my life, getting all my music back, those were two things that just never could have happened,” she noted while discussing her fiancé, Travis Kelce. Swift has been keeping very busy lately with several major projects outside of her music releases.

In late 2025, she launched a six-part documentary series on Disney+ called The End of an Era, which gives fans a behind-the-scenes look at the massive logistics and emotions of her world tour. She also released her twelfth studio album, The Life of a Showgirl, which was accompanied by a special cinematic “release party” film that played in theaters globally.

Looking ahead to the rest of the year, the singer is preparing for a landmark professional honor. On June 11, she is set to be inducted into the Songwriters Hall of Fame in New York City, a milestone she has described as a true bucket-list moment.

There is also significant buzz surrounding her debut feature film as a director with Searchlight Pictures. While she has kept the plot and cast a secret, many fans expect a formal announcement about the project later this year as she shifts her focus from the stage to the director’s chair.

On the personal front, the most anticipated event of the summer is her reported wedding to Travis Kelce. Sources suggest the couple plans to tie the knot on June 13, at the Ocean House in Rhode Island, choosing the date to honor Swift’s lucky number.
