Tom Holland has suggested that he may step away from the limelight once he starts a family. In an interview for the 2025 January/February issue of Men’s Health, the 28-year-old actor opened up about his long-term personal goals and the prospect of fatherhood.

He indicated that his career as a blockbuster movie star might not be a permanent fixture once his life enters a more domestic phase. The actor, who has been in a high-profile relationship with Zendaya since 2021, expressed a desire for a much quieter existence.

When I have kids, you will not see me in movies anymore, he admitted to the magazine. He went on to joke that his future would consist of nothing but golf and dad, adding that he would likely just disappear off the face of the earth.

Holland’s partner, Zendaya, has shared similar sentiments about the challenges of raising children under the intense scrutiny of fame. Speaking previously with British Vogue, she mentioned that she wants her future family to feel safe and shielded from the public eye.

She expressed a wish to be able to pop out when I need to pop out for work and then return to a protected life where she isn’t constantly worried about delivering content. The couple, who first met on the set of the Spider-Man franchise, often discuss the unique benefits of working together in the same industry.

During an appearance on the Dish podcast, Holland laughed about the logistical perks of their shared career, joking that studios love it — one hotel room! On a more serious note, he called having her support on set a saving grace and described her as the best thing that’s ever happened to him.

Looking towards the year, Tom Holland is currently preparing for what could be his busiest professional year yet. He is set to lead an incredible ensemble in Christopher Nolan’s epic fantasy The Odyssey, which is scheduled for a theatrical release on July 17.

In this ambitious adaptation of the Greek classic, Holland stars as Telemachus alongside Matt Damon, Anne Hathaway, and Zendaya herself. Just two weeks after the debut of that film, Holland will return to his most famous role in Spider-Man: Brand New Day.

This fourth solo outing for the web-slinger, directed by Destin Daniel Cretton, is slated to hit cinemas on July 31. The film will feature a massive cast, including Jacob Batalon, Sadie Sink, and Jon Bernthal, following Peter Parker as he navigates a mysterious series of crimes in New York City.

Additionally, Holland is expected to make a major appearance in the highly anticipated Marvel Cinematic Universe’s next big event, Avengers: Doomsday, which is scheduled for May.

With three of the year’s most anticipated blockbusters arriving within a single summer, the actor is poised to dominate the global box office. Despite his talk of a future exit, his current schedule suggests that his “disappearing act” is still quite some time away.
