Rachel McAdams wowed at the 2026 Oscars with a golden gown that perfectly combined Hollywood glamour and grace. The actress, known for her roles in The Notebook and Spotlight, honored the legendary Diane Keaton during the ceremony, sharing touching words about her mentor.

McAdams wore a floor-length gown by Alberta Ferretti from the Fall/Winter 2026 Ready-to-Wear collection. The shimmering cream-gold fabric was covered in sequins that caught the light beautifully.

A dramatic cape-like overlay flowed over her shoulders and arms, giving her a regal, Grecian look. The dress had a high, round neckline and a sleek silhouette that extended to the floor, adding a timeless elegance to her red carpet moment.

She accessorized with bold pieces from Sabyasachi High Jewellery. Her earrings were 18k gold drops with soft peach morganites surrounded by diamonds. She also wore a statement cocktail ring featuring a warm-toned sapphire framed by sculptural rows of diamonds, adding just the right amount of sparkle.

During her speech honoring Keaton, McAdams shared, “My beloved Diane Keaton, who took me under her wing like I was her own daughter. She taught me that no matter how long you’ve been doing this, you have to leave everything you’ve got on the table.”

She continued with a mix of humor and heartfelt advice: “Each performance, you must muster up as much love as you possibly can. And then you’ll only feel like a dumb-dumb idiot half the time in life.”

In a post-Oscars interview with Variety, McAdams reflected on her bond with Keaton and the lessons she learned from her. “I have great moments of self-doubt in every job. I remember Diane Keaton saying to me during The Family Stone that she still felt like acting didn’t come easily to her. I was so surprised by that because she’s so effortless and she gives so much to it. But I still don’t feel like I have the art of acting figured out,” McAdams said.

This Oscars appearance marks the second time McAdams publicly honored Keaton this year. Earlier, in January, she mentioned her mentor while receiving her star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame.

Rachel McAdams not only shined in her outfit but also showed that true stars shine through admiration and respect for those who came before them. What do you think of Rachel’s tribute and her red carpet look? Share your thoughts in the comments.
