Emma Stone turned heads on the 2026 Oscars red carpet with a dazzling silver beaded gown by Louis Vuitton. The 37-year-old actress paired the floor-length, low-back dress with a chic bob hairstyle, completing a look that exuded glamour and confidence.

According to E!, the gown took 600 hours to create. Stone attended the event alongside her husband, Dave McCary, who looked sharp in a classic black tuxedo. The couple married in 2020 and welcomed their daughter, Louise Jean, the following year.

Stone is nominated for Best Actress for her role in Bugonia, making her the youngest actress ever to receive seven Oscar nominations at age 37. She also received a Best Picture nomination as one of the film’s producers. Bugonia is Stone’s latest collaboration with director Yorgos Lanthimos, following Poor Things (2023) and Kinds of Kindness (2024). She previously won Best Actress for Poor Things and first took home an Oscar in 2018 for La La Land.

In Bugonia, Stone plays pharmaceutical CEO Michelle Fuller, who is abducted by a group of conspiracy theorists convinced she is an alien trying to destroy Earth. The group shaves her head to stop her from contacting her “mothership.” Stone told USA Today in 2025 that the process was a “major transformation.”

She explained, “I just said, ‘I’m going to shave my head. I’m going to take my hair off and it’s going to grow back. Isn’t that so silly and fun? We can do whatever we want with our hair! It can change all the time.’”

To prepare for the scene, the director had multiple cameras ready to ensure everything went smoothly. Stone recalled having a bit of nervousness just before filming: “I was sitting there, building the anticipation. So I had a little last-minute freak, and then Yorgos came over, we talked, and I was like, ‘I’m going to be fine. It’s going to be great.’ And I absolutely loved it.” She also made sure her daughter was prepared for the transformation, so seeing her mom bald wouldn’t be “super-scary.”

Stone described the experience as almost meditative, saying she focused on staying still to make sure the scene worked perfectly. Her Oscars appearance highlighted her elegance and confidence, proving why she remains one of Hollywood’s most admired actresses.
