Zendaya is finally clearing the air regarding the marriage rumors that her longtime image architect, Law Roach, sparked earlier this month. The Emmy-winning star visited Jimmy Kimmel Live! on Monday, March 16, to discuss her highly anticipated A24 film, The Drama.

Despite being there to promote her work, she quickly found herself navigating questions about her personal life and her relationship with Tom Holland. The actress took a lighthearted approach when asked about the persistent headlines suggesting the couple had already tied the knot.

When host Jimmy Kimmel inquired if she was aware of the recent media frenzy, Zendaya joked about her supposed ignorance of the news. Really? I haven’t seen any of them, she quipped, maintaining her characteristic poise while addressing the “elephant in the room.”

A significant part of the confusion stems from a series of sophisticated AI-generated images showing the couple at a wedding ceremony, which many fans mistook for real photos.

Many people have been fooled by them, Zendaya admitted, sharing that even people in her inner circle were misled by the digital fakes. She recounted instances of being congratulated on a wedding that never happened, telling Kimmel, Babe, they’re AI. They’re not real.

The speculation reached a fever pitch after Law Roach claimed during an interview at the Actor Awards that the wedding had already taken place. Roach told Access Hollywood that the world had simply missed the event, a statement Zendaya’s mother, Claire Stoermer, later reacted to with a cryptic laughing emoji on social media.

While engagement rumors have followed the pair since early 2025, they have remained famously private about the specifics of their commitment. Zendaya’s professional life is currently as busy as her personal life is scrutinized, with this year shaping up to be a monumental year for her career.

She is starring alongside Robert Pattinson in Kristoffer Borgli’s romantic black comedy The Drama, which hits theaters on April 3. The film follows an engaged couple whose relationship is tested by unsettling secrets just days before their wedding, a plot point that has added an ironic layer to the actress’s real-life marriage rumors.

In addition to The Drama, Zendaya is part of the star-studded ensemble for Christopher Nolan’s epic The Odyssey, which is scheduled for a July 17 release. She will also reunite with Holland on the big screen later this summer in Spider-Man: Brand New Day, the fourth installment in the Marvel franchise.

Beyond film, fans are eagerly awaiting her return as Rue Bennett in the third and final season of Euphoria, which is slated to premiere this spring. Her collaboration with Robert Pattinson on The Drama has been a particular point of interest for fans, as it marks the first time the two global superstars have shared the screen.

Pattinson recently shared that Zendaya was instrumental in helping him navigate the complex script, which blends psychological tension with dark humor. Between her work with acclaimed directors like Nolan and Borgli and her return to Arrakis in Dune: Part Three, Zendaya continues to solidify her status as one of the most versatile actors of her generation.
