The “Baywatch” reboot is officially bringing the heat back to the California coast, and the first glimpses from the set suggest a very high-energy revival. Fans were treated to early photos of Livvy Dunne and Brooks Nader as they prepared for their roles at a Los Angeles beach.

Dunne, the former collegiate gymnast turned social media sensation, was seen in a vibrant blue swimsuit while flashing a thumbs-up. Beside her was model Brooks Nader, who opted for a sleek, all-black ensemble as the two appeared to be bonding well before the cameras officially began to roll.

The atmosphere on set looked like pure beachy bliss, filled with bright sunshine and sparkling water. It is clear that the pair has already developed a strong rapport as they transition into their new lifeguard personas.

Preparation for the series has been intense, especially for Nader, who has reportedly been training with a professional swim coach twice a day for several weeks. She recently completed her first ocean session to test her skills in the actual Pacific waves.

The casting for the project is a mix of established actors and digital stars, with Dunne taking on the recurring role of Grace. Nader will be appearing as a series regular named Selene, who is described as a sharp-tongued captain.

The broader lineup for the Fox series is equally impressive, featuring Arrow star Stephen Amell in the lead role of Hobie Buchannon. He is joined by Jessica Belkin as Charlie, Noah Beck as Luke, and Shay Mitchell as Trina.

Other cast members include Hassie Harrison as Nat and Thaddeus LaGrone as Brad, a character who is a former Marine. David Chokachi is also set to return to the franchise, reprising his role as Cody Madison from the original 1990s series.

The plot of the reboot focuses on a now-grown Hobie Buchannon as he takes over the mantle of lifeguard captain. His world is unexpectedly changed when a daughter he never knew, played by Belkin, arrives wanting to join the family legacy.

Livvy Dunne is making her professional acting debut with this project after retiring from competitive gymnastics at LSU in April 2025. She has spent the last several months taking acting lessons and reading scripts to prepare for this shift into the entertainment industry.

The 23-year-old athlete remains one of the most inspiring figures on social media, with over 15 million fans across her platforms. She also continues to support her partner, MLB star Paul Skenes, while navigating her new career in Hollywood.

Brooks Nader is also expanding her horizons following her successful career as a Sports Illustrated swimsuit model. She recently starred in her own reality series, Love Thy Nader, and has been a contestant on Dancing with the Stars.

The production is being led by showrunner Matt Nix and director McG, with filming primarily taking place in Venice Beach and on the Fox studio lot. The series has received a 12-episode order for its inaugural season.

Expectations are high for the revival, which aims to capture the action-packed rescues and personal drama that made the original a global phenomenon. With a cast that bridges traditional TV and modern social media, the show is targeting a wide demographic.

The series is scheduled to premiere on Fox during the 2026-2027 television season, likely launching in late parts of the year. Fans are already eager to see if the new crew can master the iconic slow-motion run that the franchise is known for.
