Arnold Schwarzenegger is reportedly preparing for a return to one of his most famous roles. At 78, the actor is said to be training hard for a new Conan the Barbarian sequel.

The report comes from National Enquirer, which claims Schwarzenegger is focused on getting back into top shape. According to a source, his physical condition will be key for the film. “The film depends on the former Mr. Universe really looking like a legendary barbarian-slash-king.”

The Conan character first made Schwarzenegger a star in the early 1980s. The original movie was released in 1982 and was a success at the box office. He later returned for a sequel in 1984. These films helped launch his career in Hollywood.

The new project, often called “King Conan,” has been discussed for many years. The story is expected to follow an older version of the character, who is drawn back into action later in life.

Before Schwarzenegger got the role, actors like Charles Bronson and Sylvester Stallone were considered. However, the filmmakers changed their decision after seeing Schwarzenegger in the documentary Pumping Iron.

The actor is said to still train at Gold’s Gym Venice, a place closely linked to his bodybuilding past. The source said this is where he plans to prepare for the role again. “That’s where he’s going to forge the body to take on this role again, come hell or high water! Failure is not an option.”

Reports say he is following a strict workout plan to meet the physical demands of the role. This comes despite his long history of health problems. According to Men’s Health, Schwarzenegger has dealt with injuries to different parts of his body over the years. He has also had major surgeries, including heart procedures and a hip replacement, and now has a pacemaker.

There was also a newer version of Conan released in 2011 starring Jason Momoa, but it did not perform well in cinemas. Even at his age, Schwarzenegger continues to take on physical challenges and remains active. His reported return to Conan shows that he is not ready to step away from demanding roles.

This is both impressive and risky. It is not easy to train at this level at 78, especially with his medical history. At the same time, it shows strong discipline and commitment. Some people will see this as inspiring, while others may question if it is worth the strain. What do you think about this comeback and his intense training? Share your thoughts in the comments.
