Sydney Sweeney Dazzles in Behind-the-Scenes Glimpse from ‘The Housemaid’ Set
Sydney Sweeney recently gave fans an exclusive peek behind the scenes of her new thriller, The Housemaid.The film also stars Amanda Seyfried and Brandon Sklenar, with Sweeney playing Millie Calloway, a live-in housemaid for the wealthy Nina (Seyfried) and Andrew Winchester (Sklenar), according to the film’s trailer.
Sweeney posted a 20-slide carousel on her Instagram for her 25.7 million followers. The first slide was eye-catching and on-theme for the thriller, showing Sweeney taking a bite of a pickle coated in fake blood. The rest of the carousel was more personal and behind-the-scenes, showing moments with her co-stars and the author of the book series, Freida McFadden.
In one image, Sweeney shared a warm hug with Seyfried and her young co-star, 11-year-old Indiana Elle. Later slides included a note from McFadden herself that read, “You are a perfect Millie!” highlighting Sweeney’s performance. The official Instagram account for the movie also commented on Sweeney’s post, writing “happy housemaid day ❤️.”

Fans have more to look forward to, as Lionsgate announced in January that a sequel has been greenlit. Sweeney, along with Morrone and director Feig, will return for the adaptation of The Housemaid’s Secret, the second book in McFadden’s series.
With this release and a sequel already in the works, Sweeney’s portrayal of Millie seems to be leaving a strong impression both on fans and the author herself.
