If Evans had gotten that part, his career would have been very different because the movie was famous for being very sexual and controversial. Instead, he stayed on the path toward action movies. Eventually, he got noticed for playing the Human Torch in the Fantastic Four movies. Even though those films were not huge hits with critics, people liked Evans in them. This eventually led him to get the role of Steve Rogers in Captain America: The First Avenger. He has played that character for a long time now and is even set to return in the upcoming movie Avengers: Doomsday. I think it is funny that a casting director just looked at a future superstar like Chris Evans and said “no” immediately. It shows that even the most famous people face rejection before they find the role that fits them perfectly.
