Emily Ratajkowski has made a powerful return to high-fashion, leading an unapologetically bold new campaign for Gucci titled Beauty and the Bag. In the imagery released on March 24, the 34-year-old star strips the styling back to its absolute essentials to let her commanding attitude take center stage.

She is seen posing in a minimalist black bikini, a choice that emphasizes the Italian house’s shift toward a more sultry and streamlined aesthetic for the spring season. The campaign imagery highlights a simple and structured bikini top paired with bottoms that maintain a sharp, unfussy silhouette.

Ratajkowski elevates the look with classic black pointed heels, a styling choice that instantly transforms the swimwear into a sophisticated high-fashion statement. In a particularly striking frame, she layers in a pair of perfectly tailored black trousers, creating a visual collision between relaxed minimalism and polished professionalism.

Central to the shoot is an oversized Gucci duffle bag, which the model carries with effortless ease. The accessory is crafted from the house’s signature monogram canvas in a deep brown base, featuring the iconic green-and-red stripe running down the center.

This large-scale bag provides a dramatic contrast to the minimal nature of her attire, drawing attention to the craftsmanship and scale of the design. Her beauty look for the campaign leans into a sultry, lived-in aesthetic, featuring a smoky, smudged finish around the eyes that adds depth without appearing overly manufactured.

Her eyebrows remain sharply defined to frame her face, while her skin is finished with a soft, natural matte texture. Neutral, slightly glossy lips complete the glam, ensuring the overall look remains balanced and modern.

The campaign quickly ignited a wave of excitement across social media platforms after the images were shared. “Omg. Obsessed,” one fan wrote in the comments, while another simply added, “Perfecto.”

A third user expressed their enthusiasm by labeling the model a “DIIIIIIIVAAAAA,” reflecting the general consensus that the collaboration is one of the most impactful of the year so far.

Beyond her recent fashion work, the multi-hyphenate star has been significantly expanding her footprint in the entertainment industry as both an actor and a creator. She recently returned to the screen in the Netflix romantic comedy series Too Much, created by her longtime friend Lena Dunham.

In the show, Ratajkowski plays Polly, an unfulfilled but successful influencer, appearing alongside a cast that includes Meg Stalter, Andrew Scott, and Jessica Alba. Looking ahead, she is set to make her debut as a screenwriter with a yet-to-be-titled series currently in early development for Apple TV+.

She is collaborating on the script with Dunham and author Stephanie Danler, further establishing her transition from in front of the lens to the creative rooms behind it. While she maintains her status as a global style icon, Ratajkowski has also remained a prominent voice in the literary world following the massive success of her 2021 essay collection, My Body.
