Sydney Sweeney Shares Family Update on Brother Trent’s Deployment
Sydney Sweeney is highlighting the personal side of her life by opening up about her family’s connection to the military. On Tuesday, March 24, the 28-year-old actress utilized her Instagram Story to post a heartfelt tribute to service members currently stationed abroad.
The update centered on her younger brother, Trent, who is currently serving his latest deployment with the United States Air Force. The Euphoria star shared a screen capture from a recent video conversation with the 25-year-old, who appeared in his full camouflage uniform and helmet.
“Receiving calls from my bro always make me happy when he’s deployed,” Sweeney wrote alongside the image, clearly moved by the opportunity to connect with him despite the distance. She extended her gratitude beyond her own family, offering a supportive message to all military personnel serving in various global locations.

“Thinking of all our boys and girls overseas and sending my love!” she continued in her post. She concluded the update by expressing her appreciation for their dedication, adding, “Thank you for your service : )” Trent has been an active member of the Air Force for several years and previously announced on social media that he reached the rank of staff sergeant in August 2025.
While the specific location of his current mission remains private, the deployment comes during a period of significant international tension following the start of the conflict in Iran earlier this year.
Outside of her family life, Sweeney remains one of the most prolific figures in the entertainment industry with several major projects slated for the year. She recently starred in the Apple TV+ psychological thriller Echo Valley, where she stars alongside Julianne Moore as a daughter harboring a dark secret.
Fans are also eagerly awaiting her return as Cassie Howard in the third season of Euphoria, which is finally scheduled to begin airing on April 12 this year after numerous delays.
In the meantime, her production company, Fifty-Fifty Films, has been busy developing a remake of the cult classic Barbarella. Sweeney is set to both produce and star in the title role, which was originally made famous by Jane Fonda in the late 1960s.
Despite her meteoric rise to fame and her packed filming schedule, her recent social media update proves that her focus remains grounded in her family and their shared experiences. As she navigates a landmark year in her career, her public support for her brother serves as a reminder of the personal sacrifices made by military families.
